Understanding SIBO
Causes, Symptoms, and Treatment Options
Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth, commonly known as SIBO, is a condition where there is an abnormal increase in the number of bacteria in the small intestine, beyond what is considered normal. This overgrowth can cause digestive symptoms such as gas, bloating, constipation, and diarrhoea, and can lead to nutrient deficiencies and other health issues if left untreated.
